About Custom Slide Kits

Slide work is craft work.

My name is Sergei Volkov. I learned to cut metal at the TZIP arsenal in Tula, Russia, when I was nineteen years old. That was thirty-one years ago. I left in 2008, came to the United States in 2011, opened my own shop in Las Vegas in 2017.

Custom Slide Kits is a one-bay shop. I do everything myself. I mill, I cerakote, I assemble, I test-fire each completed slide before it ships. I do not have employees, I do not have a marketing budget, and I do not have a “team” that you would speak with. When you call (702) 555-0427, I answer the phone. Sometimes you reach voicemail because I am at the milling machine — leave a message, I return all calls within one business day.

What I make

Complete Glock slide kits for Generation 3 and Generation 4 Glock 17, 19, 26, 34, 43, and 48. Each slide is cut from 17-4 PH stainless billet — not cast, not MIM — and finished in your choice of Cerakote H-Series, salt-bath nitride, or hand-polished bare steel. Optic cuts available for Trijicon RMR/SRO, Holosun 507/508/509, Aimpoint ACRO/COA, and Sig Romeo families. Each slide ships with a hand-fit barrel of your spec and a chamber check round fired at my range.

Pricing & turn-around

Slides start at $549 stripped, $849 complete with barrel and recoil assembly, $1,150 for a full kit with RMR cut and refinished controls. I run a queue of about fourteen slides at any time, so order-to-ship is typically eleven to fifteen business days. I do not take rush orders. The wait is the wait. If the wait is unacceptable, I respect that, and I will tell you who in the industry can ship faster.

What I will not do

I will not work on a slide that another shop started. I will not refinish a slide I did not cut. I will not work on Glock clones (Polymer80, PSA Dagger, Shadow Systems frames). I do not do AR-15 work, I do not do 1911 work, I do not do any rifle work. Glocks only, slides only. This is a deliberate choice — the way to do good work is to do less of it.
